What can you do with the calendar integration?
With the calendar integration, you can connect TimeChimp to your Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook (Office) calendar. This reduces manual time tracking and helps you keep your scheduling and time registration perfectly aligned.
The calendar integration works two ways:
Importing — Pull appointments from your calendar and use them for time tracking.
Exporting — Display your TimeChimp data directly in your own calendar (Google or Outlook).
Connect your calendar to TimeChimp
Click on your initials in the top right corner > My Settings.
Select Calendar Connections.
Choose Sign in with Google (or Outlook). You will be redirected to the login page.
Tracking time using the Calendar integration
Attention! Make sure your browser allows pop-ups.
You can now log your hours using the integration:
Go to the time tracking registration screen.
Select the Day view or timeline view.
Click on the calendar icon. This opens a sidebar where your calendar items will appear.
Use these items as the basis for your time entries.
TimeChimp automatically retrieves the title, start time, end time, and duration of your appointments. All you have to do is select the correct client, project, and activity.
Exporting TimeChimp data to your calendar
You can also synchronize TimeChimp data to your personal calendar using an iCal URL. Click on your initials in the top right corner > My Settings, and choose Calendar Connections.
1. Copy the URL
Under Export to your calendar, copy the specific URL you need:
Registered hours — your logged hours.
Scheduled hours — only visible if you have planning permissions.
2. Add the URL to Google Calendar or Outlook
Google Calendar
Open Google Calendar.
Click the + icon next to "Other calendars".
Choose From URL.
Paste the copied TimeChimp URL.
Click Add calendar.
Outlook
Open Outlook Calendar.
Go to Add calendar → Subscribe from web.
Paste the copied TimeChimp URL.
Confirm the subscription.
Your TimeChimp data will now appear as events in your personal calendar.
Note: This synchronization runs via iCal and is not a direct OAuth connection like the import feature.
